- How has social media played a role in the 2020 civil rights movements and protests?

Social media has played a major role in the 2020 civil movements and protests because of real time documentation. Platforms such as Twitter and Instagram have allowed people/protesters to post what is happening in real time giving insight. As well as going live on different platforms which creates a chance for people who aren't there in real life to present online. Social media has had an impact in many different ways putting pressure on corporations, politicians, and people to take action.

- How is social media changing the way people document history?

Social media has had an impact on the way people document anything with the click of a button something is posted forever. These platforms allow anyone to share experiments or stories which provides a more inclusive narrative of history. It has given people a voice to those who maybe haven't had the opportunity to share their opinion, also allowing multiple witness's documented. Social media is also making history more accessible and preservable to future generations.

- Give an example of how its been used in a positive, or negative way.

These are perfect examples from Twitter to show how social media can be used in a positive way to influence people to get help and take action. The link included is a podcast on how a small act of kindness can have a huge impact as well as mental health. I also included a screen shot of a tweet encouraging others to learn more about femicides and gender-based violent crimes.
